About Moths

In domestic properties moth tend to be associated with damage to high quality carpets, wool garments and upholstery.

The damage is caused by the moth larvae and not the adult moth, and tends to be hidden under items of furniture that have not been moved for some time.

Clothes hung in wardrobes or folded away in cupboards may show signs of moth damage (holes in the cloth and along the seams). It is advisable to discard any clothing that has been damaged and clear out the wardrobe or cupboard of any unwanted or unworn clothing, we can then treat the area with an ultra low volume insecticide treatment which would kill off the moth larvae.

To deter moth problems, ensure all carpeted areas are thoroughly vacuumed on a regular basis, especially under furniture and around the edges.

If you have a moth infestation, we can treat with an insecticide spray which will kill off the larvae and stop the problem from escalating.
